I. Appointment(s)
You will be recommended for a faculty appointment in the School as an
Associate Professor with Tenure (Academic Track) in the Department of
NNNNNNNN (the "Department"). Tenured positions do not have a term of
appointment. Please note that all appointment, promotion and tenure actions
are subject to review and approval by the Committee on Appointments and
Promotions, the Dean and the Board of Trustees.
俺没有当过faculty, 一直混公司, 在多年前收到过assistant prof offer letter （
didn't go), 还没有见过副教授的邀请信。
上个月去interview某校，今天收到信。请有经验的大侠给看看。
问题一，"Tenured positions do not have a term of appointment."， 天牛的职位
都没有term?
问题二，"Please note that all appointment, promotion and tenure actions are
subject to review and approval by the Committee on Appointments and
Promotions, the Dean and the Board of Trustees." 俺如果都Tenure了，
appointment 还需要dean和board of trustees来 approve?
又及，这个letter其他条件都很一般，就不在这里现眼了。总之，去的可能性不大。 | z*****y
