for 9 months), and in many cases it is the actual pay (i.e., even though my
appointment is for 9 months, if I get two months summer salary in one
specific year, the number shown for that year would be for 11 months). So
any number you see could be for the range of 9-12 months. |

benefits,我的理解是只要通过学校payroll发的，就都在里面，外头的挣的，那是你自
己的事情了。所以，9-12 个月都可能。 |

者12个月的（包括了夏天的pay），大部分人的比较平均的工资是9个月的。

暑假的钱不同学校或者系会有差异的吧。我读研的系，非junior faculty没有（至少我
导师是没有的），junior的有没有，或者支付几个暑假不了解。

cases, this has nothing to do with teaching or departmental policy. It
depends on whether a particular faculty has enough funding to pay her or his
summer salary, because that summer salary goes through university payroll (
even though it comes from funded projects). For example, my appointment is
for 9 months, but most of the years I got 12 months salary, and in some
years I got 11 months. The amount shown in our online database reflects that

发帖数: 53 | 15 I guess it really depends. In my case, the database shows 9-month salary
although I got my 3-month summer support. In other words, the database does
not show the actual payroll in our state.
