classes, or even once-a-week (3 hours) classes (popular in business in the
evening for MBAs and some other disciplines). Holiday breaks should have
been taken into consideration.
If that's not the case, then (a) whoever put together the calendar at your
university is not doing their job right, and (b) your school could be in
violation of state/accrediting agency rules on credit hours, which could
have very serious consequences.
Sometimes, it may feel like TR classes are shorter because of holidays even
when they have the same total hours in the semester, but I did work at a
school with messed up calendars before, which they had to correct quickly
once it was pointed out.

主要是讨厌这种放完thanksgiving直接就到12月1号class ends。。。

every year, I prepare for being busy...that's also prepared...

contents if they claim they have taken this course...

我是每学期开学前，搞个table在syllabus里，看看到底这学期去掉放假有多少节课，
就按照这些课来定讲哪些。我只有把因为停电下雪之类取消的课才算做需要补的。学生
最后一堆考试，法定假期不能上的那些课都不算miss的课，否则补来增加额外负担。
尽量把该讲的都讲了是种认真的态度，但换种方式想，一门课就是个平台，时间有限。
你的任务是帮他们把foundation打好了，让他们以后可以在这上面进行self
construction， whenver needed，就行了。

发帖数: 12367 | 11 听了楼上Larry的话之后，我下了课就去数了数春天和秋天的TR课时量，
发现果然秋天因为各种原因礼拜四的课就是比春天少了两节。
如果课时都安排在礼拜三的三个小时，那将是一堂课也不会受影响。

感恩节之后还有一个礼拜的课，然后才考试。

这样也不至于什么礼拜二结束，后面就直接去12/8的final了。
看来真得跟做calendar的人反映下。。。
