talk should consist of three components: (a) About 20 minutes of generally-
accessible context and framework for your work (suitable for a graduate
student working in the area or understandable by another faculty member in a
different area with relatively little difficulty); (b) About 20 minutes
directed at researchers in your area that clearly defines the scope of your
research and gives us a thorough understanding of your interests and
directions; and (c) About 10 minutes that is intended for you to show your
depth in the area and specifics about the contributions you are making -
this might only be understandable by the experts in your area, but that is
okay.
