I thiink this treatment will cost 6000 dollars. if it fails, it can be very
upsetting.
I don't understand how it can fail?

发帖数: 54 | 4 I am doing the treatment now. Half way through. I think the result is pretty
noticeable. I had one "tiger tooth", which is my main concern and some
minor alignment problem on the lower teeth. The treatment managed to get my
tiger tooth pushed in and aligned with the rest of the teeth, but in order
to make space for that tooth, the dr. had to file my teeth with a thin metal
stripe. It's not painful and not harmful to your teeth either. You can do
more research on that.
All in all, I think it's a good investment for the money ($4000 out of
pocket after $2000 insurance coverage). But one thing I didn't realize
before the treatment is that even though your teeth may eventually be
straightened, your gum will never grow down to fill the gap in between the
roots of your teeth. When you do it at an earlier age, your gum is still
growing and will wrap your tooth tightly. But if you are doing it as an
adult, this treatment along won't make your teeth look perfect. You may need
to see a gum specialist or your dentist for further treatment, "to fill the
gap" so to speak.
I am speaking of my own situation here, mine is considered a full treatment
(18 months), not minor adjustment. I know some ppl only wear it for 6 months
to a year to adjust minor alignment or bite issues.

I'm thinking of using invisilign; but I heard that it takes longer than
traditional braces.

是一颗门牙不太齐。 但是我想进一步步把所有牙齿往后推，所以改成了full
procedure. 这样医生必须削窄一部分牙齿给推的空间。我的insurance 不cover,所以
我付全款。因为和lg一起做，所以医生给我们每人$1000的discount.

今天刚刚取下来
说下经验
1。价格
价格是6000块
我保险cover 1500 (不管是传统的braces还是invisalign)
最后retainer还要额外的几百
2。时间
因为我小时候做过一次braces 后来因为没有好好戴retainer 所以现在有点歪 所以这
次其实是微调 所以我只需要做6个月
一个朋友是第一次整牙 需要戴2年
因为力道不如braces大 所以需要的时间也久一些
3。需要注意的
如果你每天戴至少22个小时 并且不需要用它大调整 （比如那种需要拔四颗牙的
invisalign就不行）
一般的情况下invisialign适合调整不超过5mm的
我的牙医说 适合invisalign的人群只占所有整牙人群的5%不到 理由如上
最后的效果和braces是一样好的
有的人说效果不好 一来是可能他的case本来就不适合（i.e.牙齿调整的位置超过了5mm
）或者是他没有坚持戴（因为随时可以拿下来） |
