发帖数: 5457 | 5 freeline drift...no float, no weight, line with hook and bait, that's it.
cast upstream, reel in some slack line, hold the line with your fingers,
wait untill it's parallel with the bank, reel in and do it again...if there's a
bite, you will feel it...
the key is to find the fish...most of the time, fish will hide behind big
rocks/wood/obstacle in running water, so go find the rips or backwater...
that's the place you want to fish...
if you want to fish lure, joe's fly will be your first choice, cast upstream
, slow retrive till it's parallel with the bank, then do it again...

不太想用power bait，用fly又扔不远，加了bobber手感不是太灵敏。
有没有别的lure推荐？ | w********u
发帖数: 5457 | 7 for trout, bait is always effective. there are many kinds of bait for trout
fishing, powerbait is one of them which is only good for stockies...
use thin line and light tackle, you don't need to cast too far for that
small river/stream. wader or (bare foot :) ) would help, too.
google "joe's fly", you will see what it is. that's one of the best lure for
your purpose...it's not a real fly and its blade will help you cast a
little bit further...
if you don't like joes fly, try spoons or small inline spinners like
kastmaster or mepps. then you can easily cast your lure to the other side of
the river...while, the only problem for those is you may run on the risk
losing them if you snag at the bottom in such shallow water...
you can also try crankbait/stickbait if there are browns or brookies in the river...
again, the key point is to find the fish, not the way you fish them or what
kind of bait/lure you use...
