So I will share my story here.
I support c&r, but more about regulation of regulation. We need regulations.
I had a lot of fishing fun in Madison, just moved to Hawaii. (Oahu. thanks
crazybass)
I was happy to know that there was basically no fishing regulation in Hawaii
, only in a few fresh water places a permit is required. I thought this can
save me $.
Cool right?
When I get here, man, there is no fish near the shore, all gone.
No where to c&r, no fun, at all.
We know people here do not vote in elections, guess what, basically people
here never released any fish they caught in the last 100 years. A lot of
people don't care about things.
Think about it, what will happen to volcano islands with short and sharp "
continental" shelf? Once the reef fish gone, they would not be back in many
years.
I was fly fishing bone fish the other day. A local fisherman looked at me
like I came from another planet. He never released a
single fish that day. Most of the catches (3 in 4 hours) are hand sized fish
. That says
everything.
So the fishing culture in mainland is much better. You guys should enjoy. |

不知会钓的怎样
以前我去过大岛，也是12月
开放spear的岩礁区近岸鱼挺多的，倒是都小
都很精，见人撒腿就跑
不像旅游区的很亲合
沙滩区近岸潜水有些不小的fluke跑来跑去
夜里游远一点潜水15-20尺左右的地方，鱼很多很大
十磅以上的鹦鹉鱼比比皆是，tang们， racoon们都挡眼了
当然还有很多小鲨
岸边小栈桥上，随地都可以钓到一种当地人叫bigeye的白色的小鱼
主岛人多，估计近岸差，可以考虑搞个kayak常钓，那里暖和是个好条件

papahanaumokuakea这个名字听上去好像开玩笑，可真的不小
当年计划是搞成世界第一，严禁捕捞和养殖。可是面积上好像没有凤凰岛大
布什干的为数不多的好事之一，再过些年去潜水应该很棒。
深海资源也保护得很好
每年四月科那码头主办的tuna和marlin的tournament是这类比赛的鼻祖
另外夏威夷保护着全世界接近百分之四十的座头鲸不受日本人侵害
可是漏洞也存在，韩国人在外围小岛大批捕捉小热带鱼当观赏鱼卖，大发其财
鱼法太松让他们钻了空子，这个问题还没能妥善解决

简称美人鱼。
