这不好比啊。
那个是在远处的湾里，这可是在家门口啊。
最少最少，这个春天的神马比目鱼啥的就别想了。海狼、TEXAS CITY DIKE那一大段都
没戏了。
报道说有一部分往西南方向去了，还不知道漂了多远。是只在噶韦斯顿岛的码头那一段
，还是更远，漂到西湾里面去了。
大概FREEPORT那边还是安全的吧

collision, an official said.
The oil on Galveston beaches was in the form of tar balls, relatively easy
to clean up, primarily on the east end of Galveston Island, said Charlie
Kelly, Galveston's emergency management coordinator.

beach side at the park. Of course that could change with winds and tide.

很想啊。
上个周末到朋友家去玩，那里有个私人的小湖，小钓了一把，可惜奋战了半天只拉到几
条CATFISH。

According to the statement, an oil slick has been found about 15 miles off
Matagorda Island and was expected to be pushed toward shore by the weather
over the next 24 to 48 hours. Plans are to place a protective boom along the
sensitive areas of the island coast. The aim is to protect Matagorda Bay
behind the island, home to dozens of rare birds and waterfowl.

I've seen several posts about hearing there is oil in west bay. As of
yesterday there was not. I couldnt go but my hubby texxan1 went out
yesterday for several hours in the Haynie. He went all over the causeway
area, campbells, pelican island, sand island and as close to the dike as he
could without getting run off. No oil. No sheen. No oiled birds.
This morning, I stopped at several locations along galveston port on my way
home. I saw very little evidence anymore of the oil. Not to say its not
there in some spots but compared to what we saw sunday, its MUCH improved.
I am encouraged by the fast response and containment of the oil. A huge
kudos to the responders. Sunday when we were out, we saw the oil along the S
jetty and piled up on the sand and washing up in globs all along the
channel. It was in the galveston port and everything was boomed off. We did
see one dead oiled bird and certainly heard the reports of a handful of them
over the next several days but I have to say that although I think we didnt
get the full picture of how bad it really was or could have been, I still
think its turning out much better than all of us expected it to be.
Time will tell but for now, go fishing!!! If you hear rumors, ask someone
local or come on TKF for verification before you change your plans or before
you cancel your fishing trip.
