Can we use the same line used for bass for crappie?
For example, 65lb braided line for crappie.
The reason why I ask this is because it is very easy to get snagged when
bush
fishing crappie.
A 65lb braided line can get the lure out more easily.

Only under certain circumstances 65lb braid is needed.
Even when you fish bush piles, you don't need 65lb. 20lb FC line will get
the work done most of the time.
I have fish with a crappie guide and he uses 20lb braid as mainline and add
a 15lb FC leader. It is very easy to get snagged on bushes,but with 20lb
braid, you will be able to straighten the hook easliy. |

size 6 aberdeen hook that can be easily straightened when pulled by 10 lb
braid. It's very easy to straighten those slim aberdeen hooks.

发帖数: 16778 | 6 for bass fishing, I used 80lb braided line instead of 65lb.
but 80lb braided line has the same diameter as 20lb FC line.
So I think 80lb braided line is too thick for crappie fishing.
Therefore, I am wondering if a 65lb line can do the trick,
for bass and crappie fishing both.
The advantage for using one line for two kinds of fish is
I don't know when bass will bite my lure when crappie fishing.
last year, I lost several bass because I used only 4 lb line for crappie
fishing.
Most importantly, this year I decided to go deep bush fishing.
I got tangled often and had lost a lot of jigheads/lures.
Thirdly, the 20lb braided line is the same price as 65lb braided line,
as well as same length. If we pay same money, why don't we buy the strongest
line?
That's just my thought. I am listening to your thought.
