fan of fishing bass from their beds.
Most of the Bay Area bass should have completed their spawn, and are off
beds by now. So this morning, on the way to work, I fished for 30 minutes.
I didn't see a single bedding fish, so that some what confirmed my guesses.
I can get back into actions from now on, through the entire year.
I was fishing a Zara Spook. Top water lures can provide awesome actions on
the post spawn as bass tend to suspend in the water column in the post spawn
stage.
I caught one fish slowly working the Zara Spook on top of some weeds. The
bass is very lean and didn't fight much.
I plan to throw top water as much as possible for the next few weeks. Then
when the summer is in the full swing, I should switch my primary lures to
the spinner baits.

Just try to concentrate on setting the hook on the Master Blaster strikes
cause you have your own with you to find them,
target them
and catch them
