PM拿球，check field, 然后长球出手 ----- 只见TE Clark wide open，防守队员都在
5码以外，Clark轻易接球再冲上5-10码被摁倒。。。这种传球常常在3rd down，一般都
在15
码以上，大部分是Clark接到，总是wide open。
多少次我驴辛辛苦苦防到3rd and long, 然后就被大白菜这种球击倒 ----- 出师未捷
身先死，长使驴饭泪满襟呵！
可PM到了Denver再不见这种15码的wide open犀利长球，why? 其实我驴的TEs Thomas，
Tammy and Dressen都是高端大气型呵？

发帖数: 14021 | 2 Just a guess. On 3rd and long, usually the defense will put on a
conservative zone defense to defend the 1st down line. The weakness of zone
is the gaps between zones. Clark is good route running, and Manning is
specially good at recognizing the defense. When the WR/TE leaving one
defender's zone and entering the next one's, that's the when and where you
throw the ball to him. That's why you see a WR/TE is
wild open in the middle of nowhere to make an easy catch, and wonder how the
heck could this happen.
If you play man, then you will loss the man power to blitz, and a good QB
could recognize it, and pick the favorable mismatch.
I didn't watch Denver's game, so i can't say how teams were defending
Manning. But I think teams are playing more man press coverage to disrupt
route running and timing. If the defenders can win the one-and-one battle,
then the scheme will work.

since it hurt me quite a lot. Everytime I saw that play in the games between
Den. and Ind. I always yelled this crap again?! It hurts so much ...
Still don't understand why this type of play totally disappered upon PM's
arrival in Denver. I thought we could hurt Colts same way PN did to us a few
seasons ago :(

发帖数: 14021 | 6 This is also Packers' DC Dom Capers famous "Bend not Break" defense
philosophy. I probably yelled at the TV no less than you did. Many times, we
did good on 1st and 2nd, then 3rd and long came, and Capers dialed up a
zone D. Boom, a catch was made, and the D stayed on the field.
However, if you were to play man against Clark and Manning, did you have a
player good enough to cover Clark? The result could have been worse.

对方在打zone 他已经到了安全的非驻军地带 应该就地停下来等球就好了
但他还在骑马找驴地苦苦追寻下一个蹲点处
等对方改打man 就在后面只差一步的紧跟着他 他又停下来用变速变向甩开对手
而QB已经瞄准了他原来的轨迹出手 球被轻松抄截
