Friday. Can you recommend a few fun courses with good elevation changes (
don't want the same old flat land like Houston courses).
Played Falconhead before.
I am considering Shadow Glen.
Star Ranch looks kind of flat in their photos.
How about Circle C ?
If anyone in Austin is available for a Friday morning round please drop me a

现在我可能就会说，be realistic。
shadow glenn is nasty. I really don't want to come back. 该球场很难，不fair
的难。
circle c so so。
shadow gleen & circle c, 我都曾经是member。 当成为circle c的会员后，我一个星
期后就烦了。该球场在树林里，其实没啥特别的景色。也相对比较平一些。
我个人其实很推荐austin city golf course (jimmy clay, roy kizer, Lions,
Morris)可惜的是，除了jimmy &Kizer， lions — morris 都不在good shape了，因为
city 没钱维护这些球场了。
还有一个就是river side － 以前的austin country club.
喜欢这些球场的原因是：
1）用得着包里得各个球杆，真得是。这些球场都不长，但每个球洞设计很有意思。
2）对于我们这种水平的球员，真得比较合适，
3） risk & rewards, quite fair, local knowleage always helps
4) 因为球场价格便宜的缘故，你能更容易何各类人合在一起打球，也比较容易放松。
好的球场都是精英，和他们打球也挺不爽。 打得不好得装，打得好得不耐烦。
5) 如果你真得是recreational player, 就是说还是想见识些不错得球场，这5个总体
来说还是太shabby了。
austin的好球场都是私立的。公共球场数量不是那么多。你可能还是想试试
1） avery ranch
2) circle c (grey rock) is fine.
3) blue bonnet
还有些北边的球场，也都是半私立居多。就不推荐了。

发帖数: 165 | 7 Avery Ranch is great ! Wonderful layout, resaonable amount of elevation
changes, open fairways, large greens. Fairway condition is super, green
condition is very good too. Views and scenery is gorgeous. Really enjoyed
the round eventhough I finished with two double bogeys. : (
Excellent recommendation from ET. If I live in Austin I would play there at
least once a month.
Had a post round cheeseburger and beer at the clubhouse grille, view of the
lake/river and the infinity cascade pool below from the panoramic windows
are excellent. If it were not this hot would have sat outside on the
outdoor balcony.
Had an interesting round and am trying to post my scorecard.... but don't
know if it works...
Decided to play the blue/gold combination so I don't break my back at 7:30am.

发帖数: 165 | 8 Had a good putting day, by my expectation, though I missed a 6-footer and 3-
putted from 16' once.
Most of the short to mid length putts are because I missed the green and had
to chip. Not a very good chipping day.
Played the blue tee on the front but can't resist the view from the gold tee
at No. 7, ...the result... double bogey... sigh.....
Played fromthe gold on the back 9 for a total of about 6400 yds... perfect
for a weekend golfer like me.

of the top courses in TX.. |

have a few more putts...miss a couple more fairways... hahaha...
The very good greens at Avery Ranch and an early tee time helps. Not too
many people walked all-over the holes creating some unreadable local dents
and bumps. |
