(11-15) 09:11 PST SONOMA -- A man hunting with his 11-year-old son and two
friends was accidentally shot and killed near Highway 37 in the North Bay,
authorities said.
Daniel Downs, 44, of Napa was found shot to death at about 4:15 p.m. near
Highways 37 and 121 south of Sonoma at about 4:15 p.m. Sunday, said Sonoma
County sheriff's Lt. Steve Brown.
Downs was hunting pheasants with his son and two friends when the shooting
occurred, authorities said.
Officials did not release details about the case, including who shot Downs.
The incident is under investigation by sheriff's investigators and the state

据说打野鸡是比较危险一些, 因为野鸡可能随时从草或灌木里窜出来. 同伴之间要配合
,至少要小心.

俺上次去打野鸡,带头的老头,带我们刻意的往人少的地方走,尽管听到背后好多枪声,还
是尽量远离他们,而且大家走一排,说好了每个人的zone,别人是不准打得
很多老美就很不讲究,看我们把鸡找出来了,就往我们这边凑合,我们就再远离他们.
