0. Talk to adversary, try to avoid the confrontation. But get ready to draw
1. Weakhand push/strike to adversary eye
2. Back one step to create distance
3. Draw and unload 3-5 rounds
4. Assess situation and detect continued threat.
5. Move side step and execute a failure/mozambique drill.
6. Assess and scan
7. Reholster

发帖数: 401 | 5 At each step prior to fire, you need to justify imminent threat. When a foe
is down does not mean he can not post threat. He may be still reaching his
weapon. In that case you are justified to make headshot to stop the threat.
But of course you need to have a calm and reasonable explanation to the jury
.

看上去开始几枪开枪时枪口好像还没完全恢复，一步之遥估计问题不大，再退一步就有
打偏的可能，俺觉得是开枪速度快与控制速度造成的。后面侧移后的几枪不错。 |

发帖数: 401 | 10 Thanks for the great comments. A couple technical notes:
1. This scenario is to simulate no where to retreat confrontation. The
battle preparation starts before the threat gets that close. You would want
to get away if possible. But if cornered, then you get prepared to do this
drill.
2. My strong hand was holding the cloth line to get ready to draw. At this
time I still would not want to brandish my weapon in order to have the
element of surprise later.
3. At that point of time, I would think where I would hit the foe, namely
the center mass area. And I should notice if he has body armor or not. Also
I am focusing on his hands to determine any threats.
4. Bigbore was right about my timing in consecutive shots for the first few
rounds. But in this close distance, speed is more important. You probably
cant miss anyway. Also I don't aim through sight. I index my left thumb to
the center mass and start shooting from my chest. I continue put 4-6 rounds
while drive the weapon out. At all time, my focus was on the foe, not pistol
sight. Only the last head shot needs front sight alignment.
5. The step sideway or back is necessary or two purposes. a) to create
distance b) to force adversary to adjust his alignment. Therefore I am
active and he becomes reactive.
6. Once you make the decision to fight, you must fight to win, ruthlessly
with vengeance. Multiple shots are must to stop threats. 4-6 shots are
necessary to accomplish in two seconds from draw.
All in all, I think mental readyness is really important for a successful
execution.

speechless and just freeze there.
My reheased response is:
Backoff, BACKOFF! Get away from me. STOP show me your hands. STOP....
I think we should practice saying that loudly with force. So when the
situation arise, we don't forget.
