我哥们在国内搞了个 70寸的 sharp, 就看1080 的美片，就是叹息， 英文不够好。

iso, I use dvdfab to convert it to mkv, easier to manage,
boxee can be used as HTPC, boxee box is a already built one.
boxee box, stream 1080p, watch netflix for kids. 3D bluray mkv, best
pandora music, you tube, its remote is palm size full keyboard, google
the rest on internet.

剧都有了。这东西因为服务器在美国， 所以速度还可以。
自己看，就搞个 boxee box, frys , bestbuy 都有买的。

发帖数: 1231 | 16 I used HTPC 5 years ago. and even became a contributor of ffmepg open
source, and all HTPC is based on this grand grand grandfather.
my understanding of streaming is deep. biggest issue of HTPC is the
efficiency, currently ffmepg is 100% CPU based, can't utilize any GPU or
hardware acceleration. so sometimes it even got my xeon E7440 100% usage.
(I still have a HTPC for only serving iPad, for kids only, because of the
awesome Plex iPad app ), when it comes to DTS down mixing for iPad, it
stutters, can you imagine that?
boxee box people used a simple atom CPU, but with GPU acceleration and DTS
hardware decoding, it handles my 1080P, 35M bit rate, DTS HD sound movie
without breaking a sweat.
so, picking something specially designed for video transcoding is way better
than any HTPC. if you are true hardcore guy and want to enjoy the 次世代.

发帖数: 1231 | 18 关键我的media room 很少用，都是在 family room 看， 用 bose 1SR，所以一直没有
upgrade, 不过 $3000 的 budget 估计 LD 不会批准，不过我觉得 效果不一定 真
的听的出来 区别。
不过你住 apt, 5007 能跑起来吗? 这东西， 不开到 50% 的 volume 根本就没有效果
。而且，效果和房间的结构关系非常大， 我的 bose 怎么听都没有 bose demo room
的效果好， 我 media room 的效果要好很多
