现在我刚拿到豁免材料，可是老公的绿卡已经拿到了。
那我申请材料里，还需要放140批准的信吗？还是提交老公的绿卡复印件就可以了？

恕我不懂装懂，从USCIS关于follow to join的定义，绿卡持有人的配偶或孩子必须在
国外而不是在美国境内。具体请参考USCIS官网有关follow to join的一段内容。你因
为在美国境内，还能通过follow to join吗？
这段话摘自us-immigration.com:
At the time of filing Form I-824, applicants must prove that a family
relationship existed between them and the beneficiaries even before they
became permanent residents. Also, spouses and the children of the applicants
must have been living abroad when the applicants entered the United States
with their green cards or adjusted their status to permanent residence from
within the country.
USCIS对美国境内的申请者是否可以follow to join,没有相关定义。LZ需要谨慎。

根据I-485的instruction 中关于“Who may file Form I-485":
2.Based on being the spouse or child (derivatives) - at the time another
adjustment application (principle) files to adjust status or at the time a
person is granted permanent resident status in an immigrant category that
allows derivative status for spouses and children
这里说being the spouse ... at the time of AOS or approval.
也就是说，只要在主申请人拿到绿卡当时或在申请期间有婚姻事实，配偶就可以作为副
申请人递交485，而不是走follow to join,后者是针对境外的配偶申请。
网上有关配偶在主申请人拿到绿卡后再递交485会出问题的言论，可能是不对的。这里
的关键是婚姻和绿卡申请的先后关系，而不是主副申请人申请的时间差是多长。
我自己也遇到类似的问题，我的485已经递交，但我老婆的因为一些原因还没有来得及
准备，所以也有相关顾虑，虽然这完全是多虑，因为NSC绿的很慢。
