reviewing papers. But now I just realized by asking as a volunteer reviewer,
will it make a difference when I use these review experience to apply for
green card?

As long as you got the opportunities, it is fine. I think.
If you want to wait for somebody to give you the chances, without asking. It
will be very difficult. Most people don't has that kind of reputation. | l******5
