the waiting time is too long for filing NIW 485, could you guys help to
evaluate my chance of getting Eb1a? (I know it is on the weaker side, but
wanted to hear more opinions here)
Some major points of my current status:
US Ph.D., currently third-year Post-doc Researcher.
13 peer-reviewed papers, of which: 2 are conference abstracts; 3 are Chinese
papers; 6 are first-authored papers (of which 1 is a conference abstract, 1
is a Chinese paper). All English papers are in so-so journals in my field (
impact factor only 1.xx to 2.xx) (I know, very low journals, but these are
average/above-average journals in my specific field)
29 manuscript reviews for 7 journals; 1 student award judging for a national
conference; and several minor judgings.
39 independent citations (out of 57 total citations): about half-half for my
English papers in US and my older Chinese papers. (A note: my
previous research is China is very different from my current research in US,
although both can be loosely categorized into one broad field).
Sigma Xi full member, which is pretty much useless right now; No national
award; No media report (at least I have not seen any so far. I will keep
googling, but won't count on this at all)
Do you guys think I can claim: original contribution to scientific research;
publication; and judging others' work?
