PERMANENT RESEARCH 职位，出年报表。但一看到律师事务所天花乱坠的SAMPLE
MANAGER LETTER，就开始以工作忙推拖（我提供了DRAFT）。怎么解释和礼貌催促都没
用，所有其他资料完备后已等了好几周了。这封MANAGER LETTER类似推荐信，外加所在
部门介绍和我的工作职责介绍。自己觉得已经有足够多的推荐信，这封信是不是就可以
不要了。老板是个完全不懂移民申请的中年老美（可能没见过用词夸张的支持信），律
师是公司指定的。

发帖数: 415 | 2 No, based on my experience, this is a bad sign and the excuse for the
INCAPABILITY of your attorneys. Usually this means your attorney(s) didn't
have a clue how to organize a logically convincing cover letter and tried
this trick to get hint/help from your manager's recommendation letter.
Try your best to firmly clarify this by directly talking to your manager and
telling him/her this manager letter is NOT needed. The letter that proves
your "PERMANENT RESEARCH" should have already described your job duties and
qualification requirement. Even not, don't follow your attorney's guide on
this matter, which would waste your manager's time and effort. The reason
your manager delayed this is because it would seriously COST his/her time.
You may send your job duties and qualification requirements to attorneys and
ask them to FULLY prepare a draft letter, or you may draft it yourself,
ready for your manager to sign (minor editing if needed).
Your have to mention to your manager that, your attorney should not just
someone who is ONLY capable of providing templates and organizing paperworks
. If you are lucky and your manager is somewhat fair, he/she might push
attorneys to do what they are supposed to do, not just collecting money.

发帖数: 415 | 3 One more thing, even after you have had this kind of letter ready, your
attorney may still say "Oh, this is not the kind of letter we needed." (
because they still want clue/help/hint to draft the cover letter) Try your
best to stop this kind of bullshit. Most time it's pretty frustrating to
deal with this kind of incapable attorney(s).
IF POSSIBLE, try stop using this attorney and talk to your manager for DIY
option - you prepare/organize all forms/petition-letter/evidences, and your
manager ONLY needs to review/sign letters/forms. You pay less than $2000 by
yourself, even including PP fee). If your case is in an incapable attorney
like I mentioned, even with USCIS <10% denial rate for EB1B, you may end up
with >90% to be denied. Just my opinions for you to consider.

发帖数: 117 | 4 非常感谢，可能我没说明白，用＇天花乱坠＇形容这封MANAGER LETTER，只是因为它其
实更象推荐信。只是多了对所在部门具体工作的说明。
律师事务所已经完成了PETITION LETTER，凭在这里学习的经验加上自己以前EB１A的失
败经验和NIW的成功经验，感觉还是写得不错的。其他资料的组织也很有条理。新雇主
是大公司，律师费由公司出。
感觉是老板原本很支持，一看到这类信被唬住了（他自己资历不高，刚升到目前的管理
位置，估计他只写过工作评估信，不认为OUTSTANDING和INTERNATIONAL REPUTATION之
类的字眼是随便用的。）我起了草稿，所以费时间应该不是原因。他自己说了要改写，
但他最近工作太忙（这倒是真的），这封信不是他的TOP PRIORITY。
其它所有资料都已准备好了，真觉得这封信是可有可无的。打算跟PARALEGAL说别等这
封信了。 |

application. Because employer also benefits from the petition.

老板给的推荐信还被我的律师特意拿掉了，说self interest， 没用的。即使是从前
的导师都比这有用，应为他不在是现任雇主。
