接着以EB1B为例，谈谈如何支持这6个分论点。

这个最起码也要是个全国性的奖项 （Nationwide），否则不足以显示Internationally
outstanding。中国的，美国的都行。
2. Membership in associations in the academic field that require
outstanding achievements of their members;
这个membership可不一般，视为fellow可能更为恰当。因此，那些无需严格评选，花钱
就可买到的membership一概不要用，否则辫子一大条。
3. Published material in professional publications written by others
about the alien’s work in the academic field;
关键字一：professional publications。这儿有个讲究。Professional publications
是相对Scholarly Journals和Popular Magazines而言的，所以又称Trade
Publications。区别如下：
Scholarly Journals： 内容涉及Research projects, methodology, and theory；读
者群为Academic or professional: professors, researchers, students。
Professional publications：内容涉及Industry trends, products or techniques,
and organizational news；读者群为Members of a specific business, industry or
organization。
Popular Magazines：内容涉及Personalities, news, opinions, and general
interest articles；读者群为General public, nonprofessionals。
可以看出，从Scholarly Journals到Professional publications，再到Popular
Magazines，刊物的学术倾向是一降再降。之所以提Professional publications，是因
为从这上面可以看出你研究工作的影响 力，是否已超出了学术圈，而扩大到了工业界
。既然要求的是Professional publications，别人发表在Scholarly Journals上引用
我们自己研究工作的papers自然是不在此列。慎用。
关键字二： alien’s work。这与EB1A中的相似条款区别巨大。在EB1A中，必须是关于
你的报道，所以需要有你的名字。但在EB1B中，只是关于你的工作，所以可无名字。切
记。
4. Participation on a panel, or individually, as the judge of the work of
others in the same or an allied academic field;
这个需谈一下准备工作了。在决定申请绿卡后，四面出击，争取一些review的经验。常
用的方法就是直接发信给杂志的编辑，主动要求审稿。保存好邀请你审稿的和确认你已
完成审稿的信件。

EB1A的条件要求都比EB1B高出许多，但求证的思路相同。
EB1A的重心是需要证明“Dr. xxx has sustained national or international
acclaim and Dr. xxx's achievements have been recognized in the filed of
expertise.”
既然I-140的instructions建议用leading role or critcal role来支持，我们就顺水
推舟吧。首先说明你的单位久负盛名。其次，你的这个position非常重要，如果这个位
置上没人，这个单位也就差不多快瘫痪了。因此，你的单位对这个位置非常重视，必须
是有享有sustained national or international acclaim 和 internationally
recognized的研究者才能担当的。既然你已坐上了这个位置，那么你自然就是够格的了
。
