票时间冲突。
但是现在打算申请EB1b，所以现在在考虑要不要去参加会议。一般参加会议对EB1b申请
有好处吗？现在就是还得改回国机票的时间和签证的时间，比较麻烦一点。 |

it can be counted as a publication, even if you are not there.
Another advantage is that you might meet somebody to use them as potential
references, or new friends to introduce you to TPCs, etc. Well, remember not
to mention this in the letters though, just to say that you never know each
other personally except them reading your paper.
Would the potential advantage outweigh the trouble you'd take? That's your
personal call.

It's just like a reviewer but you'd typically review more papers and you
might be listed on their website. Then you may ask the General Chair of that
conference to write you a letter to boast how they'd strictly choose the
TPC members, etc.

发帖数: 6523 | 8 It can be random and not immediate. I don't know much of the tricks.
Conferences really are for us to meet people, some of them may randomly
influence our careers or lives one day, which we may not be able to foresee.
For the TPCs I was on, some of them are from the people I met years ago.
Later when they organized something, they'd ask me, and I didn't really
solicit it. Sometimes when we meet more higher-up persons and they have that
power to add you right up to the TPC for the next year's conference, if
they like you and want to help you.
So this conference may not help you right away, but who knows?
