发帖数: 2495 | 7 The number 40 for independent citations is for my research area (social
science), according to my lawyer. So if your research area has even lower
citation rate per ariticle than my researc area (such as Computer science or
Mathematics), you can choose to discuss the number of citations when it is
lower than 40.
However, fewer than 20 citations including self-citation might still not be
a good number even for compute science major, I think.
This is based on my lawyer's opinion. Other people might have very different
experiences. |

my lawyer.
