1. 有一个国外的老师，在会议上认识的，说过两句话。
2. 美国的老师，也是会议上认识的，但是他还推荐过我做session chair 和 review
文章。
另外，怎么在recommendation letter 上介绍这两个推荐人？说会议上认识的可以吗？

发帖数: 6523 | 3 You can just say that they have never collaborated with you. You don't need
to say that you once met in a conference, as that could be an excuse for IOs
to disqualify them as independent. Also, you do need to emphasize that they
know your work since long ago from your papers, etc, and they are impressed
by your work, blah blah.

When one invites you to chair a session, it's very reasonable a conclusion
that you two would meet in the conference. I don't know whether the IO would
pick on this or not.
As to inviting you to review a paper, I'd think that it's fine. I have a
reference who is an editor of a journal and he used to send me invitations
to review, but I have never met nor worked with him. I stated all that in
the letter, and it seems fine.

需要提供什么样的证据来证明chair session呢？是不是当时会议的议程就可以（上面
写着。。。的session chair）而不需要提供invitation letter呢？我急需找到独立推
荐人啊！
还有顺便问一下：thank you letter 来表明审稿文章，是thank you for agreeing...
还是 thank you for reviewing...那封信啊？（一个是刚同意审稿的，一个是审完稿
的）

I used both. Personally, I'd think that the second one is more convincing
and it might be enough.
