去年我file了 1040 就联合保税了，就有老婆名字了 ，之前都没有她啊
我老婆之前几年情况是不是我们弄错了?

发帖数: 1322 | 2 you should have filled "married filling jointly" or so. SInce your wife does
not have income in the US, you could claim more deductions (but obviously
you have not done that)
But since she was an NR when you file 1040NR, it is not mandatory that she
has to file. So what you did was not wrong. THe only thing is that you could
got more money back.
But don't worry, tax form is not so important
Just submit whatever you have for the last 2 years.

发帖数: 7668 | 3 1040NR 根本就没有Married Filing jointly的选项，只有1040才可以，但是F1的
前5年不能用1040。 当然，有了H1之后就可以用1040了。所以LZ以前报税做的没错，而且
也不影响H4绿卡的申请。
