of my research works about XXX in one of your publications). You gave a
lecture and it was a wonderful presentation (or say, your work is wonderful)
. Your achievements really impressed on me.
I am currently applying for the US permanent residency, and need your
assistance. Your achievements represent a strong support for me. So, is it
possible for you to write an independent non-confidential supporting letter
for me? This letter is to be submitted to the US government, describing my
professional capability and contribution to science. I will be more than
happy to draft the letter for you, and you may make any modifications. This
letter will be submitted along with other documentations. I would greatly
appreciate if! You can give me the kindest help on this matter.
I am attaching my CV here and please let me know if you need any other
related information.
