This letter is written to confirm that XXX is currently employed as a
research associate in the Department of YYY at the University of ZZZ. The
position is a full-time permanent position with no fixed term.
If XXX is granted permanent residence, it is my intention to continue to
employ him/her in this capacity.
Should you have any questions or need further information, please contact me.

MMM, Division Chief
我的问题是，这信里还要提供资金来源么？我的工资是从state payroll和一个
research grant里一起出的，不知道是不是要写到信里去？

1, employment since when?
2, your salary (annually or monthly) and other benefits.
3, a brief description of your job duties, like a line or two.
And if you could, get rid of the line "If XXX is granted permanent residence
, it is my intention to continue to employ him/her in this capacity."
Replace it with " We will continue to employ him/her in this capacity ".
This would make your continuous employment unconditional, which would be a
much stronger statement. I know many schools are not willing to do so unless
you are a tenure-track faculty member. It is worth a try though.

director或者department chair也签了呢？

发帖数: 359 | 5 一般来说，谁在你的140表格上签字，谁就在这个employment letter上签字，具体情况
要看你们学校的规定。
