请问各位在J1 WAIVER给US申请原因里面能写是因为要申请绿卡吗？用这个原因会不会
有麻烦？

Dear Sir or Madam:
This letter respectfully requests a waiver for the 2-year home residence
requirement based on 'No Objection Letter' that will be obtained from my
home country (P. R. China). The reasons I would like to apply for a waiver
are the followings:
I have been in the U.S.A. since xxx and received my Ph.D. degree from xxx
University in xxx. I am currently employed as a xxx at xxx University. I am
not being funded by the United States or Chinese government, or any
international organization.
I specialize in the field of xxx.
Dr. xxx will sponsor me for this additional period before returning to China
. This will enable me to complete my current project as well as accept
additional training prior to beginning my independent academic career in
China.
I will apply for the No Objection Letter and my embassy will directly
provide you with the 'No Objection Letter' issued for me.
I appreciate your support and assistance for waiving my two-year home
country residence requirement.

这里会提到回中国，但是如果有的人在申请waiver之前已经提交了140，岂不是有可能
被算作fraud?
不是故意挑刺啊，只是想问清楚，保险一点，不想出问题。

发帖数: 13202 | 5 申请绿卡，也没有改变中国人的身份啊。只是居留权利，回国想法依然可以有啊。
而且比如H1b就要到期，申请140，递交485才能继续H1B延期下去工作。
所以，这个没有任何fraud的问题。
