But I did not follow my own rule. Hence, I'm in deep trouble today.
I really hope young guys BE CAUTIOUS to join microsft or google for a
few more bucks.
The biggest difference between state-owned company and foreign (joint
venture) company:
in state-owned company, you work for your self, you are the owner of
the
project, you do not need report the details to others, you are working
today
in order you do not need work in the future.
At Microsoft, you are selling yourself as a labor, they pay you $$$$ per
hour, once you stop working, you will be kicked out, you own nothing.
You
can polish your resume by Microsoft, but only for next labor work.
Once you cannot work, nobody recognize what you have done.
For example, you work in college or institute , you can list your resume
by "8.5" "9.5", "863"......, once you have done enough projects, you are
a professor or professor level expert, you do not need coding again.
At Microsoft, very few Sr. Director or VP positions, most engineers are
coding until they are kicked out.
