But I've never clicked on any icon in webqq execpt using it as an IM when I'
m at work.
Tencent released so many craps that don't even work right and crashes consta
ntly. But they're improving. The lastest QQ on mac os is pretty good. Overal
l Tencent is not comparable with Google.

You originally are comparing webqq with gmail. That analogy is more clueless.
This thing is nothing like gmail.
Tencent has done a great job starting with a messenger and then transitting
to a big platform. Facebook now is largely following its strategy more or
less. Chrome OS is basically also a browser with a collection of apps buit
on top of Linux. The ideas are very similar. It is just more ambitious trying to
replace other OS and more likely to fail than this webqq thing. Google previously
also tried iGoogle, which is also a nice similar concept but eventually didn't
integrate very well with everything it has.
Not to say this webqq is not buggy or anything. Haven't tried extensively with it
either, but it is a good concept, considering Tencent is such a big platform now.
It makes sense.
