系里的教授老师都超级nice，允许我学期前后多工作，中间出去intern。
跟graduate director，department chair（也是我老板）还有我TA的supervisor都
confirm过了，他们都没有问题。
给international office发了个email说明了一下我下学期修6个学分（我们学校6个学
分就是fulltime），我是TA，去外州实习，问她cpt怎么开还有什么要注意的。她说系
里advisor和公司各发一封Email给她就行了。
我有全奖TA 15hrs/week，还能用cpt fulltime intern么？开学再给international
office写个email强调一下这个问题？ |

Also, you can't use even use CPT if it is your last semester

我觉得最后一个学期应该是能用cpt的吧。我会再跟international office确认的。另
外工作时间也会再跟她确认。
还有一个问题。我能在TA期间去外州实习么？TA一定要on campus么？到时候opt/绿卡
审材料的时候移民官会不会觉得我人都不在学校怎么做TA啊。
我是lab assistant，还有一个fulltime的staff，他很支持我，同意我在实习前后多工
作点，实习期间全部他自己来。系里领导教授也都没有问题。 |

你学校的工作时间超出20小时就不行，如果你注册full time student, 没有你在某段
时间多工作少工作的可能。
TA当然要on campus。
大部分的美国学校最后一学期是不能CPT的，要求你用pre-OPT来工作，你和你学校IO确
认吧。

不过以前的确有听说过用CPT工作超过40小时的。。

发帖数: 119 | 8 christmas放假前跟IO确认过，我告诉她我最后一个学期，我TA，下学期就注册5个学分
thesis和1学分 indep study。问了两个问题，开CPT的process，有什么要注意的。
她回答我，advisor和employer各一封Email给她，她就马上给我开cpt。第二个问题直
接忽略了。
开学后会再跟她确认第二个问题。
现在我担心的是，我们小学校以前拿TA的国际学生应该不多，不知道她处理过多少这种
情况。就算她到时候跟我说没问题，你放心的去外州实习吧，不超过15+25hrs就行之类
的，但是我不知道到时候申请绿卡啥的会不会有问题。
我们学校的政策似乎比较宽的。

发帖数: 119 | 9 Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is issued to students who are currently
enrolled on a full-time basis at an approved educational institution to
obtain work experience in their field of study. This is defined as an
alternative work/study, internship, cooperative education, or any other type
of required internship or practicum that is offered by sponsoring employers
through cooperative agreements with the school. The student usually
receives academic credit for this training. CPT is granted by the designated
school official at the educational institution and the student's Form I-20
is endorsed with the employer's name and address and the dates and number of
hours per week that the student is eligible to work. A student authorized
for CPT must present an original Form I-20 indicating CPT approval to an
intended employer before employment may lawfully commence. Students may work
for the full authorized period of CPT, however, should they work more than
12 months of full-time CPT, the student will no longer be eligible for
Optional Practical Training (OPT). |
