The Networking Platform Team is looking for a talented, highly motivated
engineer to join us as we build the next generation, high performance,
scalable network stack that will be the foundation for the next wave of
exciting Blue Coat’s products.
Blue Coat Systems is a leading provider of enterprise network solutions to
address today's constantly evolving security threat landscape. Blue Coat
provides its customers with the ability to secure and optimize the flow of
information to/from any user, on any network, anywhere. This application
intelligence enables enterprises to tightly align network investments with
business requirements, speed decision making and secure business
applications for long-term competitive advantage. Blue Coat also offers
service provider solutions for managed security and WAN optimization, as
well as carrier-grade caching solutions to save on bandwidth and enhance the
end-user experience.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 5 years of proven network stack (Layer 2-4) development
experience
• Strong C/C++ programming and debugging skills
• Strong fundamentals in networking protocols such as TCP/UDP, IP,
ARP, ICMP, DNS, etc.
• Experience in network stack performance analysis and optimization
• Experience with multiprocessor development
• Ability to perform deep flow analysis using packet captures/
traces
• Strong understanding of network devices routers, switches,
proxies, and firewalls
• Basic understanding of application protocols such as HTTP, SSL,
FTP, CIFS, MAPI, etc. |
