新公司要做background check and verification of employment and education，不
知道要多久。
旧公司要求离职的话要提前两周说。
这样若是等到background check结束确定没问题的时候再跟他们说离职，要么赶不上2
月2号新工作开始的日期，要么不够提前两周，很矛盾。
不等background check完就提离职，又怕万一出点什么岔子新旧工作都黄了。
这个问题大家一般都怎么解决的？ |

难道不是所有东西都clear了 才能确定start 时间吗？

当时其实应该考虑background check的事，太兴奋给忘了。后来收到offer letter，看
到上面有这个check，才想起来。

need standard 2 weeks notice for your current employer after the background
check is clear.
IMHO it should not screw up your offer at all and it is a reasonable request.
I won't think your future manage care much if you start one week later for a
new hirer.
Lets us kwow how it goes. |

发帖数: 76 | 8 Most of the jobs in US are at-will. That means either you or your employer
can terminate then employment any time. If your current company does not
have a contract with you about the two week notice specifically. Then the
two week notice is just a general business practice. Usually for a non-
managing employee it's just fine. Of course this is case by case.
I just quit my job from a large company. I gave a one week notice. And my
manager told me I didn't even have to. It's just good business conduct. |

transfer要多久。比如H1b 身份从接offer到正式入职（比如2周notification）要多久
