The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for business and data analysis
, reporting and quality assurance of client deliverables. The ideal
Technical Business Analyst is passionate about working with data; gets a
thrill from helping clients solve complex business problems; and is
exceptionally detail-oriented. Responsibilities include creating technical
documentation and data access to support LiftPoint’s data science team. In
addition, the Technical Business Analyst works closely with the project
management and engagement team to ensure a consistently high level of
quality and accuracy on all client deliverables.
Core Responsibilities
• Support data science team by developing detailed technical
requirements documents, providing functional clarification, and facilitating
client communication regarding data access.
• Become the resident expert on our client data; develop and own
ERD documentation, data access protocols & permissions, and overall
analytical data sets.
• Align technical requirements documentation with the analysis plan
to ensure required data is available and that the relationship of the data
to the project is in alignment.
• Write simple SQL queries to validate data access or presence of
key data.
• Create technical/analytic documents and other formal deliverables
to support client engagements.
• Review all analytic deliverables with LiftPoint data science and
project teams, providing flawless QA of all documents for client delivery.
• Serve as an advocate towards ensuring that deliverables align
with client goals.
• Maintain strong and effective working relationships with client
marketing and data analytic teams.
• Act as the primary resource when data science issues are
escalated to ensure issues are well-understood, impact is clearly documented
and assignments for data science or analytic resources are well-understood.
Requirements
• 3 – 5 years business experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics,
Computer Science, Business/Finance or equivalent.
• Previous QA/validation for data science or BI related work.
• Beginner or greater SQL or other related database experience,
• Understanding of data analytic projects, with ability to
effectively document and communicate the approach to a non-technical
audience.
• Medium to advanced Excel capabilities and related data
manipulation required, including: Pivot Tables, Excel formulas, basic VBA
and/or Macro development.
• Must be analytic, creative and self-motivated to comprehend new
and complex data architecture.
• Highly organized with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and able
to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
• Flexibility to meet continuously changing priorities and
challenges.
• Ability to prioritize tasks individually and across projects.
• Proven delivery track record and drive for results.
• Ability to follow and critically evaluate the data needs of
complex analytic and develop supporting documentation. | d******7

No programming needed. It is more or less a SQL job.
