Position Overview:
We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer with background in Chemical
Engineering with understanding of process modeling, data analytics, and
software development practices to help us create and execute testing
approaches for our market-leading asset optimization products.
This individual will create test strategies for product line from concept
through design, implementation, testing, documentation, support, and
maintenance. This will be accomplished by assuring that Aspen's products
conform to established requirements and standards.
This individual will also be responsible for gathering relevant, factual
information and data to proactively drive best practices from a quality
perspective into the product, in collaboration with R&D and Product
Management.
Responsibilities:
Create test procedures and objectives (including test environments,
installation, upgrades, and configuration) in accordance with the technical
specs
Execute test procedures by simulating customer environment and product usage
Ensure execution of functional, regression, integration, and performance
testing, and technical documentation review
Ensure effective bi-directional communications between US and China
development centers
Lead cross functional defect review meetings
Qualifications:
BS in Chemical Engineering
4-7 years of experience in validating complex software testing projects
Ability to innovate and pursue new ideas in testing strategies
Knowledge of data analytics techniques is a plus
Excellent interpersonal, communication, writing and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment and build
relationships outside of the department
Working experience with test automation, databases and test tools is
