我不在果果,但是以前一起焊板子的兄弟在。据说是所有manager最后坐在一起,瓜分
大部门下的refresh,看谁争取的多。然后manager再决定怎么分给手底下的人。你有没
有,应该是你的direct mgr决定的
理解你的心情,休息两天,move on吧,早日找个好坑,把命运掌握在自己手里

Thanks, you are right. I didn't expect this result at all. Totally shocking.
Worked almost every weekend during the crunch time. Very stressful. Now I
got nothing, but a lot of white hair.

50K is unbelievably high to the manager. At least that is his excuse.
He even spent half an hour discussing about my future - moving to ic5 in 2

ye,在美国,承诺/画大饼,都不要信。到手现金为王。
我同一家公司换了4个老板,有的老板自己都待不了一年,能实现鸟的承诺嗷。有的干
了几年我一来就要跳。其实想想公司hr真太可笑了,要求求职者绿卡公民一大堆要求,
要能够长期稳定工作;反过来自己公司都不一定能撑过1,2年。一个产品做砸了公司就
完蛋。

How much was your initial RSU when join? I did hear they’ll consider

其实招啥GC,CITIZEN还不如招H1B呢,H1B至少干活几年。GC和CITIZEN一不高兴就跳走。
我最近老想着去年回国度假时应该跟我那当老板开公司的好朋友一起想想再规划个啥项
目。
打工就是被人欺,老实人更是受气。各个公司都是鸟人当道。
公司产品这个东西,有些OWNER就是一叶障目。前公司那个OWNER就是自己非要自己投资
搞个PRODUCT。各个部门的人都知道他那种做法就是把钱扔进大海,但是谁给不敢跟他
挑明。
而且都是他自己一天想到要怎样就怎样,也没BUDGET,一会儿踢人走,一会儿招个人。
到时估计产品不能像他自己划的饼那样,估计又要拿人出气,把人踢走。

$0 RSU means you are in bottom 10% in your group. Not in my opinion but in
your manager’s.
In general, bottom 10% would be in document coaching ( PIP) very soon.
If I were you, I would start looking now.

bottom 10%, 老板还跟他说准备过一两年给他promote到level5? 还和他找借口说是因
为他一年半前signon拿太多了所以这次不给refresh RSU了?
楼主要是review 说performance不好还为啥对refresh RSU有那么多期待还要去和老板
argue RSU?
更何况楼主周末晚上也都是加班加点的,work so hard就是为了期待refresh RSU,这

但是$0 RSU就是铁铁的bottom 10%
周末晚上加班做的再辛苦,和是不是meet manager expectation是不是deliver goal没
有必然联系

No PIP, not at all. Reviews are very good. The only thing I need to work on
is leadership. I already started working on this.
Many times he mentioned that I got paid too much. I got in when the stock
was cheap. He was looking at my offer and considering all the RSUs in
current value. The truth is that I already sold the vested RSUs last year
and this year (bad decisions!).
I architectured a core component of the phone and got really good feedback.
Other groups proposed to adopt my design or way of thinking. I was invited
to give a technical talk which was well received.
It is possible the manger makes less than me. He constantly mentions he has
"Never" seen someone got such a high sign-on bonus etc. Maybe he is unaware
of the current compensation numbers. He puts me on the promo list and wants
me to lead. How ironic!

2,你老板是不是很年轻?可能自己新当manager,能争取到的资源不多,所以没法分配
3,看描述感觉你工资比你老板高。否则他一天闲的蛋疼研究你的sign on和进公司时候
的股价
4, 看看有没有周边组能跳的,fuck him off。记着一定要找一个好的,有权势有资源

5,或者,直接report director要求换manager,证据就是review 很好,但是rsu=0,
最好找一个google/fb offer backup,如果可能的话

楼主进去不就是20万的initial RSU,怎么能比老板高?一年半前的股价并不低,这个

Sounds like he was promoted or transferred to your team as a manager based
on the fact that he thinks your sign-on was high enough to compensate you
without RSU. In that case, I'm guessing he was thinking something else like
setting the tone for his leadership instead of financial concerns. Truth
being told, you may want to seek other ways to let your manager know that is
completely not OK because you got high ratings on your performance. One
way is talk to your boss's boss or HR in a way that he understands you are
pissed off because your hard work has not been appreciated and financial
appreciation such as RSU is what you need. Nothing else. You'll fully follow
his leadership under all circumstance.

按manager training, RSU 并不是奖励high performance 的,而是用来retention 的
。所以会考虑以前发的unvested RSU,再加上今年的refreshers 看总数能不能把你拴
住。

是很令人失望。五万的签字费的确不少,但是也不至于没见过钱一样啊。
我现在公司给的一样,满一年还有减半的一次,不过离家太远,不能坚持太久了。
我住得离苹果很近,最近还在想要不去苹果工作也挺好,现在看起来还是
打消这个念头吧。

这是对自己公司没有自信的干法啊。
老这么干会起到把high performer挤走的作用。一个人就算是一年拿100万,
而且review不错,老是得不到肯定也是会动心走人吧。

哇这太邪恶了,我来问问周围的新人。
我认识的几个私下聊过都感觉今年refresh/base inc/bonus没啥变化,基本都是7/8/9
这种review的,还有升级的refresh了大包裹……
