发帖数: 134 | 1 There is a research scientist opening for an ongoing project on image-guided
robot assisted surgical training system, in the Institute for Infocomm
Research, Agency for Science, Technology and Research, Singapore.
The candidate will take the task of developing organ deformation model for
instrument-organ interaction. His/Her main scope of work will include
research and development of the deformable model with the soft tissue
physical properties and medical image processing. He/she will work with
other scientists and engineers to integrate the developed virtual models
with robotic control and other components. He/she will also assist clinician
to develop and evaluate the performance matrix of the system. The position
is contract based, with possible renewal. Remuneration depends on the
experience and performance. The candidate is expected to join the team no
later than the end of 2011.
Job Scope:
. Research on the construction and validation of physics models for soft
body organ
. Study and develop new models in medical image processing.
. Assist in the development of surgical simulation system
Requirements
. A PhD in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or equivalent
. Good track record on research publications and/or system development
. Good knowledge of and experience with object modeling
. Knowledge of, experience or practice in these areas will be an added
advantage:
C++ programming knowledge and skills
OpenGL, GPU programming, especially PhysX
Image processing skills including segmentation, registration
