g******s 发帖数: 6 | 1 We are seeking a highly motivated Master graduate student in environmental
science to join in a USDA-funded project on watershed hydrology and water
quality in Missouri watersheds. The assistantship is available immediately.
The successful candidate will work with environmental scientists at
Cooperative Research Programs at Lincoln University in Missouri and Cropping
Systems and Water Quality Research Unit, USDA-ARS in Columbia, MO. Research
will focus on understanding hydrologic processes controlling stream water
quality through field experiment and modeling of hydrologic/water quality
data. Applicants should have received a bachelor degree in agriculture,
environmental sciences, or geosciences. Applicants must possess a valid US
driver license and be able to work independently and collaboratively with
others.
Lincoln University is located in Jefferson City, MO, near the geographic
center of the state. Jefferson City serves as the state capital, its scenic
capitol dome overlooking the Missouri River. Columbia and Jefferson City
have a combined population of around 150,000. The area has quite a diversity
of natural scenery, with lakes, flatlands, rivers, caves and rock
formations all within a fairly small radius. Additionally, this area is
about equally distant from Kansas City to the west and St. Louis to the east
, which makes it a convenient connection point for both.
If interested, send a cover letter indicating your research interests,
resume, university transcripts, and names and contact information of three
references to Dr. Frank Liu at L**[email protected]. |
