Institute (YSFRI), Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences (CAFS)
YSFRI, affiliated to the Ministry of Agriculture, People’s Republic of
China, is a comprehensive marine fisheries research institute. Founded in
1947, it is now located in Qingdao, a beautiful coastal city. YSFRI’s
research interests focus on sustainable development and utilization of
marine biological resources, which consists of mariculture, fishery
resources and environment, fishery engineering and technique etc. YSFRI has
a total of 360 in-service staff, including three academicians of the Chinese
Academy of Engineering and 125 senior scientists and technicians. In order
to promote science and technology excellence, YSFRI is seeking for competent

Vacancies Qualifications
1 Lab. of Stock Assessment and Ecosystem Management Marine fishery
resources study Offshore and pelagic fishery resources investigation &
assessment; Do research in fields of fishery biology, fishery resources
conservation technique, fishing technique etc. 1-2 A Doctor's Degree
in Marine Fishery Resources; healthy and fit for job requirements; diligent,
dutiful and responsible; obeying law and disciplines.
2 Lab. of Marine Fishery Environment and Bio-remediation Bio-ecology
and ecotoxicology research Basic bio-ecological research, such as
species identification and statistics of phytoplankton and zooplankton.
1 Master's Degree in Marine Biology is the minimum requirement;
relevant work experience is preferred.
3 Lab. of Marine Fishery Environment and Bio-remediation Staff, Center
for Supervision & Test of Aquatic Germplasm and Fishery Environment Quality
, MOA (Qingdao) Undertake related management work, such as test report
compilation, standard check, instrumental analysis organization, sample
management etc.; analyze and test chemical elements. Master's Degree
in Chemistry is the minimum requirement; relevant work experience is
preferred.
4 Division of Quality Test and Safety Management of Aquatic Products
Standard and technical regulation of aquatic products Standardized
general management and research of aquatic products and processed aquatic
products; aquatic product processing standard codes development; official
review; tracing, analyzing and researching into domestic and foreign
standard codes on aquatic product. 1-2 A Doctor's Degree in Aquatic
Product Processing, Food Safety, Food Science or related major is required;
proficiency in English; solid basic knowledge of aquatic product and food
processing; Knowledge of current domestic and foreign standard codes
relevant to aquatic product quality and safety; excellent comprehensive
analyzing, writing and language ability; with overseas relevant work
experiences, and education in related subjects during undergraduate and
graduate study.
5 Division of Quality Test and Safety Management of Aquatic Products
Quality test Test on biological toxins, drug residues, hazardous elements
, persistent pollutants and other hazardous chemical compounds in the
environment; assist in related research. Master's Degree in Analytic
Chemistry, Aquatic Product Processing or other related major is required;
solid fundamental knowledge in Analytic Chemistry; outstanding capability in
chromatograph/spectroscopy /mass spectrometry multi-detection technique,
knowledge of test procedure and experience in aquatic product test.

Engineering, or Storage and Processing of Aquatic Products is the minimum
requirement.
7 Division of Marine Fish Culture and Engineering Marine fish culture
and enhancement Undertake research on marine fish breeding, bio-
technology and eugenic variety selective breeding 1 A Doctor's Degree
in Marine Biology, Aquaculture, or Genetic Breeding; with research
background on fish breeding or culture, bio-technology, or genetic breeding;
with at least two SCI papers published as the first author.
8 Division of Marine Fish Culture and Engineering Infectious micro-
ecological and clinical diagnosis Mainly participate in the construction
of pathogen pool of aquatic animal diseases, daily operation and
consultation of the Remote Diagnosis System; pathogenic and infectious
microecological analysis and research of aquaculture disease cases. 1
Master’s Degree in Aquaculture is a minimum requirement; experience on
aquatic animal disease diagnosis and molecular ecology study; excellent
writing ability and skillful on use of computer and basic office software;
hardworking.
9 Lab of Genetic Resources and Breeding Multi-character breeding and
aquaculture Aquatic animal breeding and related research work. 1 A
Doctor's Degree in Genetics and Breeding is required; adequate knowledge on
aquatic animal breeding theory, familiar with techniques of aquatic animal
genetic breeding or aquaculture.
10 Lab Of Marine Products and Enzyme Engineering Discovery, research
and development of marine bio-active compounds Research into combined
bio-oxidation-HTS screening method, and research on the structure and
function of bio-active compounds, etc. 1 A Doctor's Degree in Medical
Chemistry or Biochemistry is required.

Health management technique and mode for disease control Research into

into approach for epidemiological control of shellfish disease. 1-2
Master's Degree in Veterinary Medicine, Epidemiology, Microbiology or
related major is the minimum requirement; Outstanding research performance,
solid basic knowledge, creative, with teamwork spirit, healthy, diligent and
dutiful.
12 Lab. Of Maricultural Organism Disease Control and Molecular Pathology
Molecular epidemiology and monitoring technique for mariculture disease
Undertake OIE reference laboratory management, large instrument operation,
test methods development, sample collection, technique standardization, and
standard material development etc. Master's Degree in Veterinary
Medicine is the minimum requirement; One year or more relevant work
experience; capabile in operating large-scale instruments and the knowledge
of lab accreditation; dutiful, serious, cooperative and healthy.
13 Information Center Fishery economics and development strategy
research Research into marine fishery economics, fishery development
planning and related social science. 1 A Doctor's Degree in Marine
Economics or Fishery Economics; CET6, with two or more publications;
capability in comprehensive data analysis and material organization;
