The intern or contractor is responsible for developing a faceted search
interface for information retrieval. Student will work together with staffs
to design the search interface and implement the retrieval functions.
- Working with staff to design the architecture for faceted searching
- Assisting faceted classification of data
- Developing web interface for faceted browser, including coding, site
architecture and design
- Integrating this application with other online tools
- Evaluating the search performance
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- MS or PhD students in Computer Science, Informatics, or other relevant
fields
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
- Deep technical knowledge in Web development
- Good at HTML/XHTML and CSS
- Professional in programming, such as JAVA, JavaScript, JSP, Java
Servlet, etc
- Knowledge of Database and data retrieval
- Creativity in design and accessible user interfaces
