Developer for Microserver Management solution
The candidate will be a member of Samsung R&D team and primarily be involved
in the design, implementation and testing of microserver management
solution. The developer will work closely with other developers to create
robust designs. In addition, they will work closely with one or more QA
teams (local or remote) to identify, debug and fix production issues.
Duties & Responsibilities:
-Design, implement and commercial support server management solution
-Work closely with QA teams to identify and fix any and all issues that are
reported
-Measure and characterize performance of embedded software solutions, and
libraries, suitably improve performance as needed
-Domestic and international travel to customer or partner sites to
facilitate smooth exchange of information, joint development or integration
activities (approximately 3-4 times a year - and each trip lasting about 2
weeks)
Necessary Skills /Attributes:
-Fluent in C/C++ programming - especially in a embedded environment
-Expertise with network management solutions
-Knowledge about network management standards and FCAPS
-Knowledge of ARM/RISC architectures, SoC, storage, data centers, web
servers, distributed computing
-Knowledge of any one protocols: SNMP, Web interface and other management
interface protocols
-Expertise with object-oriented design and development mandatory
-Expertise in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded programming and
networking concepts is mandatory
-Knowledge of common “design patterns” are required
-Expertise in IPMI protocol is a plus
Candidates with demonstrable expertise in network management and embedded
development will be given preference.
Self-starter - with ability to independently acquire the knowledge required
to succeed in their job.
Masters Degree in Computer Science/ECE is required; PhD in related fields is
preferred.
