Our company have multiple openings for software qa (test) engineer and
software engineer, the company is located in south bay area (the city is
called milpitas), we do network analysis/management products, we're looking
to fill the position immediately so better the candidate is in south bay
already. H1B is sponsored, and green card application can be started after 6

position1: QA Engineer
Responsibilities:
•
Deliver on testing projects on the product lines. This includes:
o Working collaboratively with the broader QA team on all aspects of project
execution
o Ensure testing projects are thoroughly planned and test plans and cases
reviewed
with peers in QA, development and product management teams
o Execute testing as needed within the project timelines ensuring issues are
managed and resolved prior to their impacting the project

o Provide progress and issue updates to the broader QA team
o Implementing test improvements to ensure we are continually improving the
quality of our products
This covers both manual and automated test case coverage
•
Develop test automation scripts to automate 80% of new feature tests, and
continually
expand on regression test case automation
o All automation test case development must be performed to the standards as
outlined by the automation team, and operate seamlessly within the existing
automation framework
•
Work closely with the support team on customer reported issues for your
areas of
ownership, ensuring:
o The support team are trained as needed on new platforms and features for
which
you are testing
o Work with the support team on customer issue investigation as needed to
ensure
timely customer issue resolution
o Perform an analysis on the customer escalation, identifying test
improvements
needed to improve coverage and prevent similar issues occurring again
•
Build and maintain test environments as needed for project delivery
•
Collaborate with peers on test improvement initiatives
•
Manage all aspects of test case documentation, ensuring test case
documentation is
concise, well written and covers information needed for execution and
results validation
Required Qualifications:
•
2+ years of hands on testing experience with routers/switches
•
Strong knowledge in TCP/IP, L2/L3 protocols, IPv4, IPv6
•
Need to have a solid understanding of general QA practices and procedures
•
Experience with network testing equipment such as IXIA and Spirent
•
Good scripting skills in Python
•
Experience working with the Selenium GUI Automation tool strongly desired
•
Ability to take, review and understand packet captures from tools such as
Wireshark
•
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
•
Excellent problem investigation and resolution skills
•
Good working knowledge of virtualized systems and environments, preferably
with
VMware
