发帖数: 34 | 1 The Sr. Engineer – Process Development will work with New Product
Development (NPD and OPX) teams for several different Silicone Business
Units and Manufacturing to design and scale-up new products and improve the
performance and economics of existing products by incorporating process
engineering principles into product development, design and
commercialization. The candidate will be required to function effectively on
cross-functional project teams, in both leadership and team-member roles. &
#8226; Couples manufacturing process knowledge with fundamental knowledge of
rheology, mixing, compounding, stripping, distillation, and filtration to
incorporate manufacturing considerations into the final product design. &#
8226; Effectively manages research projects including definition of goals,
timing, resource requirements and execution plan; documents project work in
technical reports • Recommends and assists in implementing
manufacturing process changes to improve existing product structures and
manufacturing methods in order to improve product quality, reduce costs, and
increase efficiencies; optimizes process conditions to achieve desirable
product performance. • Maintains a technical awareness of materials,
processes, and general technology of the industry through literature study,
supplier contacts, and technical meetings and incorporates these learnings
into the development of new products. • This position involves 10-20%
travel to global locations in order to lead and support programs. •
Maintains a high standard of safety performance.
The ability to identify opportunities and develop a credible business case
to support ideas for new technology programs is required. • Candidate
needs to have a successful track record of bringing new product or process
technology into a commercial manufacturing setting. • Key skill areas
required in this position are reaction engineering fundamentals,
experimental design, project management, process modeling, process hazard
analysis and equipment configuration with general knowledge of process
chemistry, catalysis, and rheology. QUALIFICATIONS: QUALIFICATIONS: •
A minimum of 10 years experience with the practical application of
innovative solutions in industrial and business settings, with a focus on
new process development and productivity. • Degree in Chemical
Engineering. • Experience with new product scale-up and
commercialization, reaction engineering, batch processing and separations. &
#8226; Experience with working in a plant operating environment as part of a
technology transfer process. • A track record of championing new
ideas and technology. • Strong verbal and written communications
skills. • Ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams. •
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Green or Black
Belt certification in Six Sigma is highly desirable. |
