Job Description:
Redwood City, CA Guardant Health
At Guardant Health, we are committed to positively and significantly

address long-standing unmet needs in oncology. Using next-generation
sequencing and big data, we provide noninvasive tumor genomic profiling to
aid oncologists in determining the right treatment at the right time. We are
seeking a highly talented software engineer to take an active role in IVD
bioinformatics software development.
Responsibilities
● Leading all aspects of IVD software development including
collaboration with internal/external stakeholders, requirement gathering,
design, implementation, testing and software release.
● Developing new features for an IVD NGS systems
● Building internal applications and services to solve challenging
technical and business problems
● Documenting the development tasks per SDLC
● Scripting and programming work, where needed, to create software tools
to assist in process efficiency
Requirements
● Required: 3+ years of experience as a software developer
● Required: Experience using established engineering methodologies
through all stages of the SDLC
● Required: Experience developing production software in C++ and Python
● Required: Ability to work well in a rapid-pace startup environment
● Desired: Experience developing software in a regulated environment
● Required: Experience with SOA and related technologies (REST, SOAP,
JSON, etc.)
● Desired: Knowledge of R / Matlab / Perl
● Desired: knowledge of the current bioinformatics trends and utilities
● Required: Expert in Linux, with working knowledge of Windows/MacOS
● Required: Aptitude for creative problem-solving
● Required: M.S. or B.S., in Computer Science, Bioinformatics,
Electrical Engineering, or related science or engineering fields
