Our Client is dramatically growing the North American business by providing
an advanced technology S.O.M. portfolio, embedded software solutions and
engineering services for the automotive and IoT markets.
We have been building our North American operation to develop business
across the United States, and are now expanding our Detroit Office, looking
for ground floor leaders that will strengthen our presence in this market
and with Automotive customers.
We are hiring an application engineer with experience working on projects
related to automotive infotainment systems who can support our customer
projects with tier one and OEM clients. You will be an important member of
the organization, able to drive success with our customers by developing
solutions and solving problems for customers.
Successful candidates will have a track record of supporting customer
projects with tier one and/or OEM automotive customers, particularly having
experience in automotive software development (QNX, Android, etc.).
Responsibilities
• Triaging, Debugging software failures reported by Customers on
Android, Automotive-grade Linux, QNX, Hypervisor software stack
• Documenting application notes for Customers on key features,
design
• Optimize, Measure, Verify KPI benchmarks, Custom applications for
Automotive
• Identifying, verifying and delivering fixes for the software
failures
• Working closely with technology teams to support the fix process
• Supporting teams outside the Android/AGL/QNX team on all
dependencies
• Supporting Qualcomm customers when required to resolve launch-
gating issues.
• Work hand in hand with Product, Program Management, Technology
teams for smooth commercialization
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer
Science
• 3+ years of industry experience in the following:
• Experience with Graphics, Display sub systems, DSI,HDMI, OpenGLES
,Vulkan, OpenWFD, Weston on embedded systems
• Debugging complex embedded software systems/applications
• Working knowledge of C/C++
• Experience with Multimedia sub systems like Graphics, Display,
Video
Preferred Requirements
• Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
• Hands on experience in writing, debugging peripheral drivers ,
resolving stability issues
• Experience in optimizing performance, power for a plethora of use
cases on mobile, automotive devices on Android, Linux or QNX
• Strong ability to solve problems in a non-linear fashion
• Prior experience with Android and/or Qualcomm MSM software
platforms
• Proven ability to develop and debug Android, Linux, QNX
• Experience with git and build systems
• Experience in Multimedia Frameworks, OpenGL, OpenMax
• Mature interpersonal skills with an ability to collaboratively
work with many varied teams and resolve problems spanning many disciplines
• Proven ability to work in a dynamic, multi-tasked environment
