I. Job Description:
a. Position Title: Solid State Battery Researcher
b. Function/Department: Battery Cell Research Group in Research &
Development
c. Location: Shanghai, China
d. General Purpose of Position: The solid state battery researcher will
mainly conduct
high quality research, manage research projects, contribute innovative ideas,
and communicate with managers and global battery colleagues.
II. Major Duties/ Responsibilities
a. Conduct top notch research in the solid state battery field and document
results.
b. Define and optimize the manufacturing process to enable a uniform
interface between
solid state electrolyte and electrode, cell scaling up and integrating to
pack
system
c. Exercise innovation in the battery field and generate new research
projects
d. Manage multiple research projects independently
e. Interface and collaborate with various material and cell suppliers
f. Communicate and cooperate with GM global battery colleagues
III. Basic Qualifications
a. Education/Training
i. Master or Ph.D. (preferred) degree in lithium ion battery related
disciplines such as Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering,
and Mechanical Engineering.
ii. Minimum 3 years of research experience in solid state batteries with the
emphasis on electrochemistry, material and characterization, battery design
and fabrication as well as battery testing
b. Knowledge/Skills
i. Demonstrated knowledge in solid state battery related material science,
analytical chemistry, electrochemistry and manufacturing
ii. Demonstrated knowledge in battery performance diagnosis and postmortem
analysis
iii. Demonstrated capability to work effectively in a diverse team
environment
iv. Demonstrated capability to independently manage multiple project tasks
IV. Desired Experience
a. Minimum 3 years of working experience in solid state battery research
b. Full understanding of solid state battery manufacturing processes
c. Rich Knowledge in electrochemistry
