Nira, Inc. is looking for a Microsoft SQL Server DBA to support a federal
agency’s IT modernization program. US Citizenship or green card is required.
Responsibilities include:
- Operation, maintenance, administration of Microsoft SQL Server, including
SQL Server Master Data Service (MDS) and Service Broker. Monitor the system
performance and SQL jobs.
- Participate in full life-cycle development of Business Process Management
System based applications, including requirement analysis, designing data
schemas, data migration,developing data access components and system testing.
- Analyze data related issues and performance issues from back-end for
applications
- Maintain existing ETL packages/jobs and conduct troubleshooting.
- Develop and deploy new ETL packages.
- Maintain and troubleshoot existing SQL Server service broker.
- Maintain Data Dictionaries and ERDs for SQL server databases
- Recommend, evaluation, and perform system upgrades
Required Skills
- 5 years of experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
- 3 year of experience of Microsoft SQL Server performance tuning
- 3 year Hands-on experience of developing, deploying and troubleshooting
ETL.
- 3 years of experience Microsoft SQL Server database development including
writing stored procedures, functions, triggers, cursors, etc.
- 3 years experience of Erwin data modeler. Proficient in creating and
updating ERDs and Data Dictionaries.
- 1 year of experience of SQL Server Master Data Service (MDS) and Service
Broker.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Desired Skills
- Experience with Agile development methodology.
- Experience of building SQL Server CLR objects using C#.
- Experience with Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ)
- Experience with Business Process Management System or workflow engines
