MITBBS.com is an online Chinese forum, frequented by overseas Chinese
students and professionals. There they share information, and exchange
insights about life, works and almost everything. By posting to the forum,
users earn MITBBS dollars, which they can use to decorate their avatars, or
give to other users as a gift.
But now they have found a better use of their MITBBS dollars. They can sell
this fake money for real US dollars, which can then be donated, via OCEF, to
the kids in rural China.
Yes, it is possible because it actually happened once last year! Tens of
MITBBS users donated around 70, 000 MITBBS dollars, which then sold for
around $700 US dollars. These dollars bought a few set of Ping-Pong tables
for the kids in an Elementary school in Shan-Xi, China. Just look at how
happy the kids are when they play!
Now we are trying to copy last year's success. Or even go a little further
than that. Some generous MITBBSers have donated to us their MITBBS dollars,
which already amount to 160, 000 within just one day, and the number is
still growing. Now please come and be our buyers of these MITBBS dollars!
So here's the deal: for each $10 dollars you donate to us via this action,
you will receive 1000 MITBBS dollars as a thank-you gift (Please present
your receipt at the board of mitocef for your MITBBS dollars). You will
leave with MITBBS dollars and happily decorate your avatar, just in time for
the holidays; the kids in rural China will receive gifts bought using your
US dollars, and they will be happy and warm, too, in the coming winter.
We will decide what we will do with the donations a bit later, depending on
how much we receive and what projects that we can find to make the best out
of that money. It might be another few sets of Ping-Pong tables. It might be
another 500 books. It might be clothes that keep the kids warm in the
coming winter. Or it might be a combination of the above.
However you can be sure that, we will not abuse your donations and efforts,
and you will not regret when we update you, here as well as at MITBBS, with

小学室内乒乓球台两副、室外乒乓球台三副。
