diagram.
Suppose you have two children, A and B. Suppose A has 2 children, X and Y,
and B has 1 child, Z.
Suppose further that when you die, both A and B are dead, too.
Under per capita: X, Y, and Z each gets 1/3.
Under per stirpes: X and Y each gets 1/4 (because they get 1/2 through A),

还有些疑问。每个beneficiary都有指定一个 % of Benefits. 在你的例子中，假设A和
B各继承50%。如果A dies, but B survives. 那么A的50%是给B呢？还是给A的孩子？
我的理解是：如果想把A的50%给B的话，就都不要选。这样by default, A的50%就给了B
。而如果希望A的孩子能够继承，就选择Per capita 或者 Per stripes. 而Per capita
和Per stripes只是决定这A的50%如何在A的Branch(Children)中分配。不知道这个理解
正不正确？
还有，Agent说，这种IRA, 401K, life insurance上的Beneficiary designation
supresedes will. 是不是啊？修改will比一个一个修改这些东西容易多了，似乎这个
规定不太合理。

If A dies, A's heirs gets the 50%. The heir would be either A's surviving
spouse, or A's children. If A leaves no will and has no surviving spouse or
children, A's property MAY then pass to the sibling B.... it gets a little
complicated.
