transportation公司（A)告了，说没付钱，而且告的是before discount将近两千刀。
我没有跟A公司打过交道，是通过朋友付给B公司，B公司是shipper, 后来B公司破产了
，估计没有付剩下的款。A公司是在另外一个州，同时被告的还有其他人也在其它州，
都是作为receiver被告的。躺着中枪的是我老公，从没参与过这个事情，也被作为
husband告了。******(summon原话说wife and husband,估计是律师查了shipping地址，我们俩的名
字是屋主。
)
已经file了answer，说我们已经付了钱。附上了B公司给朋友的invoice/receipt和我给
朋友转钱的记录。
后来又收到了Interrogatories，问了很多问题，甚至包括5年之内所有做过生意的名单
了。
一直听说要到被告的州告人，为什么这个原告就能在自己州呢。难道我们还要长途去出
庭？

company B. Did OP know company B would use company A?
On top of that, venue is a problem.

I also gave A's laywer invoice from B before filed the answer, and he said it
was not enough, and then I was tricked to give more.
悔得肠子都青了

yourself. don't talk with your opponent's lawyer without your own.
don't ask me for referral of a lawyer. use a yellowbook or something like
that.

fiduciary duty, conflict of interest, unlicensed practice of law, ethical
rules...
you can ask any lawyer on this board when he/she is comfortable of give
specific legal advice here.
legal advice is nothing like advice on any family/technology issues.
