Trek, has died at the age of 83 in Los Angeles, his family says.
His son, Adam, said he died of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease on Friday morning.
Nimoy had a long career as both an actor and director.
However he was best known for his portrayal of the half-human, half-Vulcan
character in both the TV franchise and series of films.
Last year, the actor revealed he was suffering from chronic lung disease,
despite stopping smoking more than 20 years ago.
It was reported earlier this week he had been taken to hospital on 19
February after suffering from chest pains.
He later tweeted: "A life is like a garden. Perfect moments can be had, but
not preserved, except in memory."
He signed off with "LLAP" - a reference to his character's famous
catchphrase, "Live long and prosper". It was to be his final tweet.
(After Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, Nimoy took a break from Spock
to pursue other roles and interests. In 2002 he published his first book of
photographs, a collection of dramatic portraits of women who were intended
to represent female manifestations of God on Earth.)

universe的想法和感觉，喜欢startrek的new frontier的说法，喜欢battleship
Galactica里面的毁灭和孤独感。。。。。我很容易满足的。:P
每个人都有很固执的一面。在我的世界里，没有神、佛，可是有迄今为止未曾访问地球
的外星人，以一种抽象的形式存在着。在这个无限广袤、异常贫瘠的宇宙里，地球上表
现出来的理性与文明不是一种常态，而是一种病态。病态的花又是如此孤独的生存着。

然而事實上， 人類可圈可點的寥寥無幾的智慧
都來自兒童般的相像與創造。 Think Mozart, think early Newton , Einstein.
